Air India Airlines

The Country’s third largest airline, Air India is the national flag-carrier of India. Its headquarter is in New Delhi. Air India pioneered the country’s aviation sector and its history is synonymous with the history of civil aviation in India.

Since the first flight on October 15, 1932, Air India has grown to become a mega international airline connecting to 39 destinations in the USA, Europe, Australia, Far-East and South-East Asia and the Gulf.

The Airline’s fleet of 107 aircraft include both one-cabin, two-cabin and three-cabin configurations. Air India’s young fleet of 118 aircraft comprises a mix of the latest state of the art B787 Dreamliners (21 aircraft), B777s, B747s, Airbus A330s, A321s, A320s and A319s.

Air India Airlines check-in

Air India offers many check-in facility that includes web check-in, Kiosk check-in, mobile check-in and it also provide facility for city check-in. City Booking Offices in select metro cities offer City check-in facility to passengers holding confirmed booking and travelling with hand baggage only.

Air India Airlines baggage policy

Passenger who travelling on Air India domestic sector and connecting to Air India International sector or vice versa on the same ticket, the Free Baggage Allowance of International sector will be applicable. There is a rule for all Air India network that is the maximum single baggage allowance is not more than 32 kgs.

Air India Airlines classes of service

Airlines offer three classes of service namely, First class, Business class and Economy/ Coach class. Air India never compromise its quality of accommodation for any class.

It also serves meals on all international flights and on domestic flights with a flight duration of over 90 minutes. Business and First Class passengers also have access to the airline's Maharaja Lounge at six of its major destinations.

Air India offers Maharaja Lounges for its First class and Business class passengers. Air India share its lounge to other international airlines. It also offers Flyers return program for the frequent flyer and this program consists the points which can be redeemed for awards travel on some other airlines.
