The most popular part of downtown with visitors and locals alike is the Cultural District. This 14 block area of downtown is full of art venues, museums, theaters, and a growing residential area. Other spots of interest downtown are Point Park University, the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Culinary Institute, and Robert Morris University.

Pittsburgh is home to several professional sports teams that compete on the national level. The Steelers compete in the NFL, the Pirates compete in the MLB, and the Penguins compete in the NHL. In addition to professional sports teams, there are a few colleges that compete in the NCAA in and around Pittsburgh. Those teams are the University of Pitt Panthers, the Duquesne University Dukes, and the Robert Morris University Colonials. Pittsburgh is definitely a sports lovers town.
