5 Simple Ways To Save Money On Your Los Angeles Trip

Glitz, glamour, Disneyland, 3 words that sum up Los Angeles. This means a place for those who have plenty of cash in their stash. It is also the 2nd most populous city in the state of California, which means it has a huge influx of people all around the year. This means Los Angeles can become dear for your pockets. Not if you follow these easy tips and tricks.

Uber or taxi from the airport? Forget about it.

You could have thought about an Uber in some other prominent cities but no in LA. Get ready for plenty of bumper to bumper traffic and major diversions in LA due to the endless construction happening at plenty of places. This is only going to shoot up your Uber and Taxi fare. Instead, take the flyaway bus from the airport and hop into it without any prior reservations. It arrives every 15 minutes, which means you don’t have to wait too long. And here’s the best part, for nearly US$10, it can practically drop you at all the major hubs in the city. Yes, Hollywood is there too. It’s not that glamorous but definitely good on your pocket.

Try the metro

Ok now that the bus has dropped you to the major city hubs, wondering how to move around? We say choose the Metro. It’s convenient, quick and well-connected for most places in the city. However, if you are planning to head to the famous Malibu beaches or Orange County then it’s best to choose a car rental. There is a range of car rental options, which you’ll find in LA. These typically range from $150 to $200 for an entire week.

Head to the food trucks

While you must have heard about the fancy restaurants of LA, it’s better to head to some of those food trucks for those Tacos. The people here love their Tacos and you’ll find hundreds of varieties of not just Tacos but other foods from around the world.

LA has some free places too

Not everyone wants to head to the Universal Studios or Disneyland, which costs a bomb. If you are one of them, then you can head to the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame, which oozes an aura of glamour thanks to several people who come dressed as famous movie characters or stars. One tip, it’s not a good idea to click selfies with them as they might charge you for it. Guess what? There are many museums in LA that are completely free like The Getty Center, Hammer Museum, California Science Museum, and Griffith Park.

Go for the Go Card

If you are thinking of visiting local attractions, it’s best to buy a Los Angeles Go Card, which enables you access to dozens of local attractions around the city. The only catch is that you have to buy this card before your trip and activate it at any of those local places. Since it costs 92$ to 360$ dollars, choose your itinerary carefully before deciding the attractions.
