These two resorts and their accommodating town are also the preferred spots for the World Cup tours and provide access to Germany’s only skiable glacier. These resorts can be reached post one hour drive from the Innsbruck airport and one hour thirty minutes drive from Munich Airport.

Kitzbühel, Austria

Tirolean, the historic town of Kitzbühel, Austria, has two reasons for being so popular – one being its stunningly beautiful surroundings and the other being the World Cup downhill Ski race (on the Streif descent on Hahnenkamm) featuring contestants from across the world. Also, Kitzbühel has softer terrain for beginners and non-skiers, along with several budgeted stay and food options. Kitzbühel is a two-hour drive from Munich Airport and one hour drive from Innsbruck airport.
