But why? Yes, this would be your first question in your mind, right? Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the world seems to have come to a standstill. Everyone is in the panic mode.
We recommend postponing travel as a lot of flights, visas and destinations are getting cancelled by the day for travellers and tourists. Also, safety first. However, if you are stuck in the middle of the pandemic already, here are your go-to tips:
Do not panic
This is the first thing to do during any crisis. Panicking is not good at all for you or those around you. It only worsens the situation and your health. So stay composed and follow the health advisories issued by the local health department or government from time to time.
Stop forwarding forwards
We have often debated many a time that whether technology is a curse or blessing. On one hand, technology has able to combat several epidemics, while on the other side, the wrong use of it turns the situation into a catastrophe. Try to cut the social media and WhatsApp from your life, which has a lot of useful info but a lot of fake news and rumours too. Follow the facts and the right sources instead of believing everything you see on social media.
No touching
Medical advisories are requesting people from time to time to avoid touching your face, nose and mouth too often to reduce the chance of the virus to spread. Also avoid handshakes, hugs or any physical contact, especially during such a pandemic.
Avoid crowded areas
As far as possible, refrain yourself from going to a crowded area. Avoid public transport, gyms, spas and parlors at all costs.
Maintain Hygiene
Back to school! In school we learnt the need to wash our hands frequently. Well, it is time to follow that again. Wash your hands with soap and water thoroughly and frequently to stay away from the virus. You can also use a good alcohol-based sanitizer. Along with personal hygiene, also disinfect your house and surroundings once daily.
Cover yourself while coughing
Always cover your mouth inside the elbow by bending it while coughing or sneezing. This will leave less scope for viral droplets to spread.
Consult a doctor
The symptoms of Corona virus are quite similar to flu. So, if you experience runny nose, sore throat, cough, fever, headache, nausea, etc. visit a doctor immediately for a check-up and follow the instructions carefully. Be ready to quarantined if the need arises.
